St. Patrick’s Day Oreo Pops

An easy and fun treat for friends, family and, just maybe, some deserving teachers in your life!

What you will need

  • Candy Wafers (we used white and a combination of white and green)
  • Double Stuff Golden Oreos
  • St. Patrick’s Themed Candies (our kids chose green mini jelly beans, marshmallows from Lucky Charms and sprinkles)
  • Lollipop Sticks
  • Microwave safe glass bowl
  • Spatula

What to do:

  1. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Separate cookies, placing tops and bottoms beside each other on the baking sheets, leaving room for the sticks.
  3. Microwave candy wafers in the glass bowl as per package instructions until melted.
  4. Dip sticks into melted wafers, and sandwich between tops and bottoms, pressing down gently in the middle to secure, being careful not to break the cookie.
  5. Dip a cookie into melted wafers, using spatula to help make sure the cookies are completely covered.
  6. Gently tap the stick on the side of the bowl, letting the extra candy drip back into the bowl.
  7. Place onto parchment paper and decorate as desired (or as the kids desire!)

Once the candy coating sets, the Oreo pops will pull off the parchment with ease. If you are giving them as gifts, wrap quickly because these are addictive. Once people try them, you will have a hard time keeping them safe!

We would love to see your St. Patrick’s Day Oreo Pops. Please share your pictures so we can see what decorations you chose – creativity is contagious!
