The Royal Tyrell Museum is located about one and a half hours east of Calgary and is well worth the trip if you have a budding palaeontologist in your family. The museum offers one of the world’s largest displays of dinosaur remains and offer a wide variety of educational programs that bring the prehistoric past to life.

With lots of exhibits to see there are plenty of things for everyone in the family to do making it easy to spend a full day exploring and interacting with the friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Originally opened in September 1985 the museum has continued to evolve and recently renovated a number of the exhibits along with adding a new interactive display area which is a great place to stop for a break midway through the facility.
