I remember when I first tried this wine…it was love at first sip! This zinfandel is a “dark and dangerous” California zinfandel…and if you can get your hands on a bottle from 2013 you are in for an even better treat. Think jammy dark fruits with a bit of a bite, but not overly tannic – blackberry, plum, smoke, pepper. Great to drink with BBQ, but don’t fear a glass of it on it’s own either! Making this wine 4 out of 5 glasses.
